Choosing Shampoo According to Hair Type and Scalp Condition by SARA

10.02.2025

Beauty hacks

Selecting the ideal shampoo begins with understanding your hair type and scalp needs.
If you struggle with dryness, look for a moisturizing shampoo rich in hydrating ingredients. For those with oily scalps, a refreshing and clarifying type works best.

If your concern is fine hair or lack of volume, choose a volumizing shampoo that supports body and lift. For color-treated hair or hair that has been permed, a damage-care shampoo is recommended to help protect texture and extend color longevity.

All varieties of ametsuchi shampoos and conditioners are formulated to support color retention, helping your hair color last longer while maintaining a healthy shine and smoothness.

To find the product that is truly right for you, always check the ingredient list and consult with your stylist. Personalized advice is often the key to discovering the best shampoo and conditioner for your needs and building a routine that supports both scalp care and long-term healthy hair.

Master

I have worked as a hairstylist for 18 years in Japan. I love to see the different hairstyles that relate to other cultures. I traveled to many countries and learned their unique hairstyles and techniques. I would pay attention to the suitability of the individual’s face and body shape and also to the feeling the client possesses.
I like to design hairstyles with a combination of haircuts and perm or highlights.
I also do bridal hair sets, Kitsuke (Kimono wearing), and eyelash extensions.
