How to Create and Style Natural Waves by SARA
07.09.2024

Creating natural waves with curling irons, straightening irons, curlers, or round brushes can take time and practice to master. This method I’m about to introduce is best suited for those with medium to long hair. When I had long hair, one technique I often used was to twist my hair and tie it into buns before bed. You can create two buns, one on each side, or place them high on the crown of your head, or lower as well. The position of the buns will determine where the waves form when you remove the hair ties in the morning.
For men or those with short hair, after washing, dry your hair with a blow dryer until it is about 50% dry. Twist your hair while you dry it, or scrunch with your hands while directing the dryer’s heat to your hair. Be sure to use cream or oil afterward to add shine and moisture. Relaying this technique through text can be confusing, so feel free to ask about them during your next visit.
