It can be confusing to know how much makeup is okay to wear on the day of your lash appointment, or you might not be sure how to apply makeup after the procedure. The truth is, your makeup on the day of the appointment and post-procedure can significantly affect the longevity of your extensions.

It’s best to go makeup-free on the day of your appointment!
If makeup or cosmetic products are on your lashes, dirt and oils can interfere with the application of the extensions, making them less durable. Additionally, protective tape will be applied around your eyes during the procedure, which often causes any eye makeup to smudge.
If you come to the salon with makeup on, we will kindly ask you to remove it. However, removing makeup and cleaning your lashes right before will cut into your appointment time, which could reduce the number of lashes applied or affect the final look. By coming to the salon with a clean face, you can save time on touch-ups and feel more comfortable during the procedure. If you're going after work or in the evening, we recommend removing your makeup thoroughly before you arrive.

It’s okay to wear makeup immediately after getting eyelash extensions!
If you have plans after your appointment, you may want to put on makeup, which is totally fine. However, there are two things to keep in mind if you apply makeup right after the procedure:

• Avoid touching the extensions.
• Don’t get them wet for 5–6 hours.
