Tips to Make Your Lash Extensions Last Longer by ERIKO
02.04.2025

Both clients getting eyelash extensions and we as lash artists have the same goal—to make them last as long as possible. To achieve long-lasting extensions, the technician’s skill is important along with proper aftercare.
Today, I’ll briefly share key tips for maintaining beautiful, long-lasting lash extensions, as well as things to avoid.
Avoid getting them wet right after the procedure.
The adhesive takes about 5–6 hours to fully cure. Allowing enough time before taking a shower or exposing your lashes to moisture is crucial.
Use lash-friendly cleansers and face washes.
Gently cleanse your face by creating a frothy foam, and avoid excessive rubbing when cleansing.
Apply lash serum or coating after cleansing.
This helps protect and nourish the extensions for better retention.
Avoid sleeping face down.
Since extensions are sensitive to friction, it’s best to sleep on your back to prevent damage.
Maintain healthy natural lashes.
Just like hair, eyelashes naturally shed and regrow daily. A balanced diet and sufficient sleep are crucial for strong, healthy lashes.
