Even those who have never colored their hair may start to consider it when they notice a few grays beginning to pop up. I often get asked whether traditional hair coloring or opting for highlights is better for addressing this concern. While traditional hair coloring is effective when covering a larger amount of gray hair, strategically placed highlights to blend in the gray hairs can be effective when they are just starting to appear. This technique creates an overall brighter impression and adds dimension to the hairstyle. Additionally, with highlights, it’s less noticeable when the roots start to grow out, minimizing the need for frequent touch-ups. As a result, I often recommend starting with highlights. 

I often hear some people say they’ll just wait until they have more grays first. The only problem with that is once a certain point is reached, options for stylish solutions may become more limited.
