I wouldn’t go shouting it from the rooftops, but I do like coffee and a bit particular about it. I usually have coffee for breakfast, but on mornings before work I can't be meticulous about it. However, on my days off I start by grinding the beans. It’s fascinating that even with the same beans, the flavors can change drastically just by the way it is ground. I brew a mug full of coffee with my pour over. I start by adding some hot water and letting it steep a bit before adding some more hot water. A cup du jour is made through experimenting with different steeping times, and the speed of which I pour the hot water. I have a quirky ritual of smiling to myself and enjoying my delicious coffee with my breakfast whenever I brew a particularly good cup.
