Keiko’s recommended sun protection and care
08.19.2022
My skin always turns red, tingles and burns after a sunburn, and then peels.
I am always careful to avoid sunburn, but after a sunburn, moisturizing is the best!
Soak a cotton pad thoroughly with lotion and apply it to the burned area. When it dries up, add a lot of lotion again. Repeat this over and over again.
After that, apply "aloe ointment," which is only sold in Japan that I believe, but it works very well for burns and injuries. In my family, we have been using aloe ointment for injuries and burns since we were small kids.
After thoroughly removing heat with lotion and moisturizing the skin, I apply the aloe ointment in a thick layer. If the sunburn is severe, I apply the plastic wrap, too.
This is my style of skin care after sunburn.
