Yumi’s most memorable thing
01.14.2022

Hello, This is Yumi at Viange hair.
I first came to the US in October 2010. It's been 11 years since I came to the U.S. this October.
The first time I lived abroad was in the U.S. I could barely speak English, and on the first day I arrived in the U.S., I went to my American grandmother's house, where I had decided to homestay.
I still remember the most memorable event. It was living with an American grandmother.
There were many things that puzzled me, such as the difference in lifestyle and culture between Japan and the U.S., living in English, and foods, but now I think it was a very valuable experience. She always treated me like real family during Thanksgiving and Christmas, and made me feel that life in America was fun without making me homesick. I am still grateful to her.
