Life in the U.S. ⏤ Eriko

Working in the United States, surrounded by such a diverse culture, has truly broadened my perspective. Of course, some challenges come with working in a foreign country, such as the language barrier—I believe that this is also a place where those who are willing to take on challenges can find opportunities and expand their potential.
Through this experience, I have also gained a deeper understanding of my own country. Many of the clients who visit our salon have an interest in Japan or place their trust in it, and I feel genuinely happy when I sense that during my interactions with them. Compared to before, I have developed a stronger sense of pride in where I come from.
On my days off, I enjoy experiencing the vast nature that is unique to the United States or going for drives along its expansive roads—another special charm that offers a different kind of enjoyment from everyday life.
