Life in the US — Kaori
05.07.2026
I’ve been in the U.S. long enough now that it’s actually been longer than the time I lived in Japan. I’ve learned so much from living in such a diverse, “melting pot” environment.
Life here feels very free, but you also have to take care of yourself. In Japan, there’s more structure and support, but it can be harder to fully express yourself. Living in the U.S. has made me stronger, and now I really enjoy my life here. (Sometimes maybe a little too strong when I go back home though!)
I love the diversity here and getting to meet so many interesting and fun people.
