I was watching the news during the Olympics that were held in Japan, and one of the American reporters said on TV that he thought crescent crackers were so delicious. I got curious and looked up what he meant by crescent crackers, and it turns out they are very popular rice cracker snacks called “persimmon seeds” in Japan. They are traditional spicy rice crackers loved for decades by the Japanese people. I guess it could look like a crescent moon because of its shape. It’s funny how different cultures could give completely different ideas and names.
