Long Lasting Short Hair
05.15.2025

Hello!
I’m Yumi, a stylist at Viangehair Fuga.
Now that it’s May and the weather is gradually getting warmer, more and more people are opting for shorter hairstyles. One of the most common questions I get from clients who go short is:
“If I get a short haircut, do I need to come in every month?”
Short hairstyles often involve layering, which means each section of the hair is cut to a different length. As a result, when it grows out, the shape can lose its definition and look uneven more quickly than longer styles.
Also, short cuts are often designed to suit the unique balance of your facial features—your eyes, nose, and jawline. So when the hair grows out, that delicate balance can shift, making the style appear off.
If you're looking for a short style that lasts a bit longer, I recommend styles like a blunt bob or a longer fringe short cut where there’s minimal difference in length between the bangs and the nape. These styles maintain their shape better over time.
There are so many different short styles to explore, so if you’re thinking about trying a shorter look, feel free to consult with us!
And when you do go short, just a small amount of wax on the ends can add movement and give you a more stylish, polished finish.
