How to share your desired design (Layers with volume)

As mentioned in the previous post, we will continue to share on the technique used to design a hairstyle by utilizing the client’s hair in the mirror. Last time we spoke on a layered style with tapered ends, this time we will go over layered ends with volume. 

The hemline is on the heavy side, it will be gathered from behind. 

Here the designer will adjust the thickness and positions of the layer to design the best form that suits the client. 

The same can be said for all styles, but if you adjust the silhouette in 1mm increments and adjust the delicate balance of weight, you will find that you can create tens of thousands of different styles. During this time there will be a moment when the client’s expression lights up. When the right form instinctively clicks with the client, or when that golden ratio aligns, the designer will make a mental note of this.
Sharing our observation of that moment the client shines the brightest helps to put them at ease and allows for trust in the process. At the same time, it helps the stylist dissolve any doubts, and proceed with confidence in their craft.
