The natural, textured hair is trending in 2020!

When we say natural hair, we don’t mean that frumpy, messy morning hair. We’re talking about soft, shiny hair that’s been blow-dried and styled for a natural look. To achieve this look, use a large hairbrush or hair iron to create big, wavy curls with volume.

To create big, wavy curls, we recommend using a 1 ½ inch (38 mm) curling iron. The first step is to curl the hair directly around your face outwards. Then, select an area randomly and curl horizontally away from you (parallel to the ground) without curling the tips of your hair. Be sure not to curl all your hair, leaving some areas untouched, to keep it looking natural. You only want to curl just enough to add volume. It is best to use hair products with a lighter texture. You don’t want to use anything too thick that will make your hair stiff. Also, do not hold the curls too tight for too long. Excessively curled hair can kill the natural look and make your hair look overly glamorous. The photo above is an example of how you can use these techniques to create natural-looking curls without looking like you tried too hard. (Which is what you want!)
