We often get asked which size barrel curling iron is the best and how to use them correctly. The easiest way to remember this is S stands for skinny and short.

26mm → best for short and shoulder-length hair.

34mm → works great for medium, below shoulder hair, and long hair.

Today, we want to show you how different underline cuts can achieve different outcomes.

★ Style 1: Non-layered, one length undercut. Blow-dry only.

★Style2:  Layered hair. Blow-dry only.

★Layered hair. Styled.

★Reverse curls for one-length hair. It’s best to curl a small strand at a time to give your hair some movement. Use the iron vertically.

★Reverse curls for one-length hair.

★Take a chunk of hair and slide them as you curl. This adds movements to the end of the hair.

★ Reverse curls for layered hair.

As you can see, different base haircuts and curling techniques have completely different outcomes.

Healthy hair can hold the curls much longer than damaged hair. We recommend you to get them trimmed if your curls only last for a short period of time.
