Do you feel that your hair color only lasts for a few days after getting them dyed? With proper care, you can keep your new hair color last much, much longer! Here are 3 maintenance rituals you can do at home with the proper products and method.

1.  Skip shampooing your hair on the day you are visiting the hair salon. You also want to avoid shampooing the night of the day you got your hair dyed because you want to let that color settle into your hair. Ask the stylist for a color coating treatment. This can prevent it from fading and helps the color to last longer.

2. Choose your shampoo wisely. Use purple shampoo for high-tone color, and silver or pink shampoo to prevent color fading. Avoid shampoos with deep cleanse features and scalp care serum that causes the colors to fade quicker.

3. Blow-dry and flaunt! Wet hair breaks easily, so you ALWAYS want to dry with a hair dryer as soon as you get out of the shower. Be mindful of hair iron temperature. Set the hair iron/curler  20 ~ 30 degrees lower than your normal setting to avoid damaging the hair, which could cause the color to fade faster.
