Highlights vs Balayage

Hi there, I’m Shin- your host for the VIANGE HAIR Blog about all hair concerns.
We are in the holiday season now! Many of you have a lot of plans around this time of the year.
Have you already got the fancy hair done? Alright, we will talk about the High lights and Balayage! There is a distinction between those hair- high lightening effects.
Let’s begin with the classic highlights.
The traditional way of highlighting is done by the structured foil placement. Hair is sectioned out by weaving technique with a root-to-end color application. No hair gradient and more saturated streaks.
How about Balayage?
What is Balayage, anyway? Balayage means “to sweep” in French. Thus, Balayage is a free-hand painting technique. Balayage is not a look itself; it is a technique. Usually, Ombre style is done by balayage, painted on from mid-shafts to the ends. It can be done with roots-to-end applications.
Color gradient towards the end.
Color was done with several sessions.
Highlights and Balayage are both done by using color or lightener. They can also give you a distinctive, dimensional, subtle, and natural look.
It all depends on how you like it. Please visit our salon for a free consultation and find the color you want together.
