A Quarantine Hair Care Routine You Can Start Today!
Your ends are splitting, the root is showing, and you need a touch up. In a fact, you were really looking forward to changing up your hairstyle right before the Stay-At-Home order began. I know we’re in a very tough and stressful time, but we definitely do NOT recommend cutting your own hair out of despair! Instead, you CAN follow this hair care routine at home to keep your hair looking beautiful (and to help keep you sane).
There is no better time than now, during our quarantine life, to give your hair some attentive treatment. Here are three simple tips for a deep conditioning routine.

- Massage your scalp before applying shampoo to your head. Use your fingers to massage your scalp while letting hot (but not too hot) water run over your scalp. Why massage? Massaging helps dirt to come up to the surface of the scalp, so you can wash it away properly using shampoo.
- Give your conditioner time to work. Rinse off the shampoo and apply your conditioner. This is where you need to slooooow down and spend an extra 5 to 10 minutes to give your conditioner time to penetrate deep into your hair. Be patient, and don’t rush it. If you’re already doing this, you can also comb your hair while the product is still in it. Combing can help distribute the conditioner evenly through your hair.
- Blow dry your hair. The last step is very important! We hear that many of our customers do not use hair dryers after taking a shower. However, it’s important to apply heat to close the hair cuticles. Sleeping on wet hair, especially when also using a hair tie, can scrape the open surface of the cuticles, which will cause damage to your hair. So, to prevent your hair from getting weak, be sure to use hair dryer to close the hair cuticles and protect your hair from becoming brittle.
